Vodka Mods represent the collective psychosis and electronics obsessions of a couple of gear freaks and G.A.S. sufferers. After years of modding, gear tweaking, and electronics tinkering, we've pooled our collective knowledge to offer you our new series of mods intended for the true musician!
Why now?...We noticed a whole lot of hype and plain nonsense being passed around effects circles, websites, and mod places... So we decided to offer our high quality and competetively priced services to you, the musician! After overwhelming feedback, we've gone online! Straight up, we specialize in audiophile/boutique quality pre-modded pedals, mod kits and expert mod services for various effects units.

3. So how does it work?

VodkamMods make upgrading your effects chain as easy as purchasing a pre-modded pedal or easy to follow DYI kit... or send us your pedal and have one of our techs custom upgrade your stomp box. It's as easy as following our instructions on the ordering page. We'll set you up fast... We work objectively...want more distortion? less midrange? more harmonic sensitivity? a focused low end? a toggle switch for more options? We can make it happen with the right parts and documented expertise. Our evolving 'recipes' reflect countless hours of experimentation, research and tweaking in multiple settings (live, practice, etc). Our pre-modded NEW-IN-BOX pedals reflect only the tastiest and highest quality upgrades. We've done all the hard work for you...now just plug in and drool all over yourself!
Want to do it yourself? Well, our formulas are documented in thorough, well articulated mod sheets accompanying every DYI kit. Color photos, detailed step-by-step instructions, troubleshooting tips, values comparisons, experimental suggestions, soldering tips, and a Vodka Mods sticker are included in every order!

4. Is there some sort of warranty?

Like any specialty service, we take pride in our work and are supportive of the musician community in general (did you see our links page??). All labor and service done by Vodka Mods is wholly backed up and carries a one year warranty. Damage caused by users is not covered. All parts are hand selected and tested with a voltmeter to assure consistency and fidelity and carry a full warranty for the life of your pedal...Before shipment, every pedal is personally tested to assure 100% full functionality and tonal bliss. In unlikely event of a faulty part, it will be immediately replaced free of charge. The labor for DYI kits is 'at your own risk' and intended for persons over the age of 18.... because we can't vouch for a drunkard with a soldering pen in his hand! But don't worry folks, we make the mods an engaging and fun experience if you choose to do them yourself. And hey you can then do it for your friends! All the mods are completely reversible and well documented... our detailed kits and write ups include original parts numbers and lists just in case you want that old stock sound back. Which you won't!

5. Do vodkamods make my guitar sound sexy?

Yes. and ugly, and godly, and abhorrent, and humble, and freakish, and filthy, and potent, and obscene, and angry, and salacious, and sometimes mysterious, and graceful, and endowed, and truculent, and wrathful, and immoral, and powerful, and manic, and maybe inebriated, and even highfalutin!

6. Are your mods cheaper than the other guy's because you use lower

quality parts or are hack techs?
No. Straight up, we understand business practices, but also value honesty and straightforward tactics with you, our customers. We perform high quality labor with high quality parts and craftmanship ALWAYS. Working musicians aren't the richest lot of people on Earth...trust us; we're musicians ourselves. Unlike some of these guys, we aren't gonna sell you overpriced hype and over promote our services anywhere and everywhere. We pay attention to every fine detail, from the paper we print on to the solder we use, to the hand selected and tested components, to the soldering techniques, to the outgoing packaging, to the customer service, to the bottom line, to THE TONE!!!!! have a question? just ask!
You needn't break the bank to have an improved effects pedal. We use highest quality components and methods just like the other guys...but vodkamods are just as much a labor of love as a service for musicians ...The huge majority of customers love their Vodkamod. But some are less than 100% satisfied. Anyone who claims 100% satisfaction or 'not a single complaint' aint being straight, and we all know it! But hey, let the SOUND speak for itself! 7. Do you do custom pedals and other non-specified mods?

Yes in some instances. We are based in the lovely NYC-Philly area, so some local requests can be accommodated. However, for now, intensive projects and builds will be a service in the future. Feel free to email us with any specific/non specific questions regarding effects, gear, music, jezzball scores, anything! We love our customers.

8. Does a Vodka Mod give you mojo?

Yes. You will be able to walk on water after your pedal is modded. But this is not guaranteed under our warranty!

9. Are vodka mods available everywhere?

Yes, we do not discriminate on basis of age, gender, style, race, sex, location, nationality, religion, fetish, voting record, addiction, height, music taste, or alcoholic preference. There's a Vodka Mod for everybody.
